So, now I hear that the opposition leaders are invited to go to Vimy, but Dion won't be going because of prior commitments? If that is the case, the I hope they're really important prior commitments, because they're going to cost him.
That's just my opinion. I could be wrong, but I think that the optics of not having our leader attend the ceremony commemorating one of the most important battles for Canada in WWI, not to mention the first Allied victory in WWI, would be pretty bad.
Hopefully I'm way wrong on this one.
Update: The Michael Ignatieff replacement works 'ok' I guess, considering the historical ties.
